I have been hearing good things about this particular destination in Bulacan from fellow travel bloggers, so along with my team, we gave it a visit. My first was in February and once again, I’m back with another batch of adventure-seekers.
True to our expectations, Mt. Manalmon has a picturesque scenery and possesses an appeal that will surely make you want to come back, adding into consideration its close proximity to Metro Manila, and that you will have to pass via NLEX which many would prefer passing by rather than the SLEX. Truly it’s a must-try for every adventure-seekers from the nearby provinces!
Since we have been forming open-group tours for this particular destination, it didn’t take us long to assemble a new group – Come another batch of adventurers to start the month with!
What to see:
What is good about this mountain is that unlike other mountains, Mt. Manalmon has a lot more to offer than just going to the summit. Here, you can try the following:
-Monkey bridge crossing
-River crossing
-Rapelling
-Cliff diving
-Bayukbok cave spelunking
-Pebbles cave spelunking
-Mt. Manalmon summit itself
-Picnic at the river side (Manalmon River)
Monkey Bridge Crossing
It was a love at first sight when I saw this activity online, told myself I would be going to try this some time soon.
Crossing the river
Don’t mistaken it for free. An amount of Five pesos (P5) is collected for every transfer. Going to the registration booth is one ride, going back to the carpark is another. So that would cost you P10 back and forth.
A hanging bridge by the way is ongoing construction for easier transfer for the public.
Cliff Diving
Here is a video of a young man as he jumps off the cliff at his friends countdown.

Bayukbok Cave Spelunking
This, to me, is the highlight of the mountain. The cave has 8 rooms open to the public, first six rooms come in one package and the next two in another package. TIP: don’t leave Manalmon without trying this.
Picnic by the river
Take your lunch by the river side and go for a swim afterwards. Experience soothing relief from cool fresh water of the mountain. This is the second highlight of the place, another must-try for everyone.
